Swaptico connects people who want to exchange things they own. Real people, real items, real accountability — every swap leaves an evidence trail, and every claim gets a fair, documented review.
What Swaptico investigates
Our team reviews reports of fraud, counterfeit goods, stolen property, prohibited items, harassment, fake accounts and unsafe behaviour. We also run automated safety screening on listings and monitor patterns that look like coordinated abuse. Every review is evidence-based: reports alone never decide an outcome.
Evidence you should keep
For shipped swaps, keep the tracking number, carrier updates, photos of the package and anything you photographed before dispatch. For pickup swaps, use the in-app pickup code to confirm the handover, and photograph the item at the meeting if you can. Listing photos and descriptions are snapshotted at offer time and cannot be changed afterwards — they become the reference point if something goes wrong.
How disputes work
If a swap goes wrong, you can open a dispute with a specific category (item not received, wrong item, damaged, counterfeit, and more). The other party is asked for their evidence, both sides get a clear deadline, and a moderator reviews the evidence, the swap's immutable evidence timeline and both accounts' history before deciding. Decisions are explainable and recorded.
Expected timelines
Most disputes are resolved within a few working days of the evidence deadline. High-value swaps and cases needing law-enforcement cooperation take longer — the evidence is preserved and nothing is deleted while a case is open.
Reporting fraud or stolen goods
Every item, user, message and swap has a report button. If you believe your property was stolen, report it to the police first — a crime reference strengthens your case — and file a report in the app. If you are accused, you get the same evidence-based review: nobody is assumed guilty.
Account restrictions & privacy
Restrictions (warnings, temporary limits, suspension) are applied by moderators with a reason, recorded against the account, and appealable. Your precise location, shipping addresses and documents are never shown to other users, and evidence submitted for review is only visible to the case participants and our team.
What Swaptico does and does not guarantee
- We investigate reports, preserve evidence and review disputes fairly — but we do not guarantee any specific outcome for any swap.
- We do not guarantee delivery, item condition, authenticity or ownership transfer. For vehicles, property and other complex assets, legal ownership transfer happens through the appropriate legal process in the relevant jurisdiction — not through Swaptico.
- We do not promise compensation. Where compensation is offered in the future, it will be under a clearly defined, provider-backed policy.
- We cooperate with law enforcement where legally required or permitted, and preserve evidence under legal hold when a lawful request exists.
